Sleepbox, a micro-hotel company, aims to provide comfort for weary travelers through its recent installation at Washington Dulles International Airport of sleep pods.
The Boston-based startup installed its Sleepboxes at Washington Dulles International Airport, last month. This allows travelers to get some Zzzs while they wait for their flight. Although there are a few U.S. airports that offer Minute Suites for resting, Washington Dulles is currently the only one to offer this type of sleep pods.
Washington Dulles Airport is a major international airport that serves millions of passengers each year. Many of these are business travelers and need private spaces to work or rest. We want people to feel productive while on the move, so they are energized and recharged. The airport authority is open for innovation and has been supportive of the idea.

All Sleepboxes include a memory foam mattress and Wi-Fi. You can book your Sleepbox using the Sleepbox app for iOS compatible smartphones. Additional hours can be purchased , or travelers can book a complete 12 hour stay. You can rent the sleep pods on an hourly basis 24 hours a days. They are available in two sizes.
