IKEA, the furniture retailer giant, has teamed up with British designer Tom Dixon in order to create a new customizable bed.
The Swedish ready-to assemble retailer IKEA teamed up with Tom Dixon earlier this year to create the Delaktig Hackable Sofa. This piece allows you to mix and match cushions to create a custom-made seating arrangement.
How can you make it tailor-made? The Delaktig bed is modular in design. It can be made from different components and connected or disconnected as needed.The bed comes with side tables and lamps that can be interchanged, as well as headboards in either wood or metal styles.. Sleepers can also play with the Delaktigs design to personalize their bedroom.
Tom Dixon is a very innovative designer. I was pleased to hear that he will be working with IKEA and that the Delaktig line will be modular.
Agnello continued to tell me that the best thing about Agnello was his experience with it.Innovative aspects of the Delaktig bed are thatIt is stylecustomizable. Consumers will also be able to modify the functionality as their needs change.. Additionally, IKEA or Dixon will continue to create accessories for this bed so that sleepers can refresh their bedroom’s aesthetic without spending a lot of money on new furniture.
The Delaktig bed, which will be available in a queen-size only, isn’t yet on sale, but it will debut in IKEA stores and online next month.
